400 spectators are invited to cheer on the runners in a special spectator area at the finish line of the Tokyo Marathon 2024!

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will set up a special spectator area at the finish line of the Tokyo Marathon 2024 (organized by the Tokyo Marathon Foundation) on Sunday, March 3, where spectators can watch and cheer on the finishers up close.
We will accept applications from Tokyo residents who wish to watch the race in this area from Monday, February 5. We look forward to receiving your applications.

[Venue] Special spectator area at the finish line on Gyoko-dori Avenue in front of Tokyo Station *Only standing
[Attendees] 400 residents, workers, or students in Tokyo. (Children under elementary school age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)
[Application Period] From Monday, February 5, 2024 (14:00) to Tuesday, February 20, 2024 (17:00) *If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, a random lottery selection will be made.
[Announcement of Successful applicants] Successful applicants will be announced on Monday, February 26, 2024 (tentative) * The results will be e-mailed to the applicant's representative.

[Notes for successful applicants]

  • Personal Information:
    The organizer of the Project recognizes the importance of personal information, complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws and regulations, and handles personal information in accordance with the organizer's personal information protection policy. Personal information obtained will be used only for the purpose of notifying information related to this project.
  • - Restrict entries to one per person.
  • - You will also receive an spectator information for the Tokyo Marathon 2024.
  • - Bring the following with them on the day of the event: 1. Spectator information at the finish line area (emailed with the winner announcement) 2. ID (Photo ID card such as driver’s license, passport, or My Number Card)
  • - The finish line area is a restricted area. You will be required to go through a baggage check and metal detector upon entering the area.
  • - There is no luggage storage for spectators. Please keep your luggage with you at all times. Entry may be restricted during busy times.
  • - Wheelchair users may be guided to the Barrier-Free Spectating Area operated by the Tokyo Marathon Foundation in the finish line area depending on congestion.
  • - A substitute will not be allowed if you are unable to attend on the day of the event due to illness or other reasons.
  • - The event may be cancelled due to inclement weather or police guidance
  • - You are responsible for your own transportation expenses to the venue. Please come by public transportation.
  • - We may use photos or videos taken at the venue for publicity purposes. The Tokyo Marathon Foundation, the organizer of the Tokyo Marathon, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the organizer of this event, reserve the right to publish and use such materials.
  • - Please understand that the event contents are subject to change.
